Tournaments

Tournament registration is now closed, however, last minute entries may be possible up to one hour before the tournament starts. Please contact TobiasE#2228 on Discord if you're interested in a last minute entry.

The prizes for each individual tournament can be found in their respective tabs. All prizes will be awarded through gift-cards, unless explicitly stated otherwise. For team-games, these prizes will be evenly distributed to all team members. If there are any questions regarding tournament rules or prizes, please contact turnering@d-lan.se

Tournament process:

  • Team Captains join the tournament through a Google Form which is supplied by D-LAN. Your team has to be complete throughout the tournament, meaning you can have no vacant positions when entering the tournament.
    • If your team wants to have a substitute player, in case of a player not showing up or having to leave the LAN early, the Team Captain can register the player to the referee at the actual LAN itself. This has to happen at least 30 minutes before the actual tournament starts.
    • Each player can be a part of one team only. This includes substitute players as well.
    • The teams will communicate in their assigned discord-channel during the whole tournament.
  • All players must have a legitimate D-LAN Computer Ticket close by for tournaments during D-LAN. This does not apply during D-WAN.
    • This means that if you are a +1 to someone's LiU-ID or someone else is paying your ticket, they have to be close by to verify your credibility.
  • All remaining players must be close by throughout the whole tournament.
    • This does not apply to the teams that has been eliminated or disqualified.
    • IMPORTANT: If the other team has not accepted or joined your game within 10 minutes, you are to report this to the referee. If the other team is absent they will be notified by some means. If the other team fails to respond within 5 minutes, they will be disqualified.
  • Team Captains have the responsibility to make contact with each other and invite their teams to the game.
  • The winning team has to send a screenshot of the results to the referee in the respective tournament #results discord channel and the bracket will shortly be updated.
  • Team captains must update the referee beforehand and provide full details on players and stand-ins. This includes full name and player-ID.
  • Usage of unsportsmanlike, disrespectful, sexist or derogatory terms during the tournament is strictly forbidden. This includes In-Game nicknames, In-Game item name tags or In-Game chat.
  • If the game would freeze or crash mid-match, the referee will decide whether the match will be restarted or have any other outcome.
  • Disconnect mid-draft will result in a restarted draft face with the same picks and bans as up to that point.
  • If a player were to be disconnected mid-match:
    • The game will pause and the player who disconnected will have 5 minutes to reconnect. After 5 minutes the game will start again and the team with the disconnected member will play with only four members.
      • Players are allowed to pause the game if they have a legitimate reason, such as disconnects.
      • The disconnected player are allowed to try and reconnect even when the game has started again.
    • Disconnecting on purpose or pausing the game without a legitimate reason, will be considered cheating and result in disqualification.
  • Send all questions to turnering@d-lan.se before and after the LAN. During the LAN, send the questions via Discord in the channel #tournament-questions, or ping / DM @Turnering & Biljett through the Discord server.
